The office building in Lenzburg (CH), designed by Frei Architekten, Aarau (CH) was required to have 40% of the outer glass facade surface covered with an opaque silk print. These 40% are calculated to be the minimum to avoid extreme heat gains in summer. Homogeneously distributed dot patterns with that ratio however obstructed the view way too much. The task was, therefore, to have an algorithm distributing dots covering the requested area unevenly on the glass panels. The dots should lay denser in the top and bottom border regions, also hiding the front of the floor slabs, while being more sparse at eye level.
